About Claire

Bio: Though Claire grew up skiing and snowboarding in the mountains of Colorado, it wasn't until she moved to Salt Lake City, UT in August of 2006 that her real passions in the outdoors begin to develop. Out here under the disguise of going to college, she had really moved here for the snow! After spending a summer working for a local gear shop, she discovered her favorite outdoor activity- climbing! Rocks, Ice, Big mountains, anything. Since then, she has finished her first degree in school, climbed Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, Mt. Shasta and Mt. Hood several times, and spends most of her summer weekends in the Tetons. Every trip home to CO is now planned around what 14er she’s going to run up! Any time there's an alpine adventure brewing, Claire's usually scrambling to get her schoolwork finished during the car ride, and then first out the door as soon as they arrive. Car-to-car pushes are her specialty, and she’s always interested in “light and fast” gear to get her up that mountain faster. Claire is currently working on finishing her Masters degree at the U of Utah in SLC, and spends her free time running with her dog Baker, skiing when it’s deep, and climbing whenever she can!
