Patagonia Simul Alpine Pant Review The Patagonia Simul Alpine Pant should be your go-to pant. It’s versatile and ready for cool-weather exploits. It’s a simple design that is feature-rich. It’s made of a stretch fabric that moves with you, whether you’re scrambling, stemming, or hiking through the mountains. It comes with light weather protection to shed a light drizzle or snow. You can adjust the fit with an integrated, thin-webbing belt that Patagonia likes to call “Opposet”. If that doesn’t work for you, the Simul Alpine Pant sports regular belt loops as well. The cuffs are adjustable with cord and stay in place. A feature that I missed, and haven’t used yet, is integrated tie-down loops in the cuffs to attach to boots. Two wide, deep front pockets, two rear pockets, and a zippered right thigh pocket help keep your stuff organized. This pant will literally go everywhere with you. I’ve had it out climbing and hiking and it’s performed extremely well.
