Summer Fun with Merrell

Summer Fun with Merrell
Here’s how I stayed active with Merrell this summer: Merrell All Out Fuse Running Shoes Review: Merrell stayed on the barefoot theme with style and fit of the All Out Fuse. The look is definitely inspired from the Barefoot line. Unlike their Barefoot shoes the All Out Fuse does feature 4mm of drop and some cushioning. It isn’t like running on pillows. There is just enough cushion to take the edge off and help reduce foot fatigue over longer distances. The All Out Fuse is labelled as a trail running shoe, however, I found the traction to be lacking for a full-on trail shoe. It does great on hardback and on city trails, however on steep, loose, or mucky trails the traction isn’t quite enough. The shoes are very breathable. One feature that I really like that Merrell included in the All Out Fuse (they pulled this from the Barefoot line) is a wider toe box. My toes don’t feel cramped, especially on longer runs. I like the extra room and breathability. I’m a big fan of the Merrell Barefoot line (see reviews for the Sonic Glove and the Trail Glove) and I am now a big fan of the All Out Fuse. Merrell Register Shorts Review: I give the Register shorts an A+! I honestly can’t think of what would have made them better. They feature longer length, pockets that can fit a phone, key, or gel. Waistband was comfortable and liner comfy on the skin. I take it back, there is one thing: a secure pocket for keys would be nice for the trail....Read more...
