Made winter commuting hurt less
This winter was phenomenally cold, and my hands (particularly my pinkie fingers) were starting to get numb and painful before I got to work. These gloves kept my hands warm all the way down to sub-zero Fahrenheit temps, but still let you retain pretty good dexterity. With a liner, you'd be fine to probably -20 or so.
Not for hard core MTB who wants tactical control
The gloves did a fair job in keeping my fingers warm at 35 to 45 degrees. The problem with these is that they have an inner liner that is attached but causes your fingers to shift about a 1/2 an inch within the glove while the outer part grips the handlebar. Therefore causing a false sense of control. SO if you are a hard mountain biker that likes control, then this is not your option.
