Ah, the Chaco Z tan. Nothing quite says “my summer rocked!” quiet like a good Chaco Z tan on the tops of your feet come Autumn. Where the prominent farmer tan line is a fashion phopaux surely capable of garnering laughs, pointing fingers and becoming the butt of happy hour jokes, the Chaco Z tan lines are honored, revered, only to become campfire conversation fodder and if exceptionally pronounced even lore to be spoken of with respect and ahh.
You think I’m joking? People are freaks passionate about their Chacos and the tan lines left behind. Try searching “Chaco Tan” on Flickr or Google Images. There’s even a “I have a Chaco tan and I’m proud of it!” Facebook Group, of which I’m a proud member despite my meager Z tan at the current moment.
Yes, the Z tan is where it’s at. In fact, I’ve long contended that the best measurement of summertime fun and adventure is how prominent your Chaco Z tan can become.
Summer of Chaco Z Tan Contests
You asked for it, Chaco is bringing it. A summer of back to back contests to spray about how impressive your Z tan is or where you take your Z tan. They’ve launched a micro-site for the contest that has all the details about the first contest and will be the place to check out the various contests that will keep launching throughout the summer as your tan matures and seasons.
The Details
First off, get working on your tan!
Secondly, visit the Chaco Contest Website and upload the best photo of your Chaco tan to win a river rafting trip, a new pair of Chacos, and other great prizes.
The Chaco Tan photo contest will run June, July and August, and will feature a different mini-contest every two weeks. Selected finalists from the mini-contests will be entered to win the grand prize rafting trip. The grand prize winner will be announced on Labor Day, September 6th.
Contest #1: Best Adventure Spot
Between June 22 – July 2nd, submit photos that showcase your Chaco tan in exotic places and out-of-the-way spaces. The person whose photo receives the most “Likes” by 5pm EST on July 2nd will receive a prize, and the photo will become a finalist in the river rafting trip grand prize contest.
