So far so great...

Finally settled on this tent (summer 2012) after an exhaustive search, and my experience waiting out nasty storms in similar BA tents. One of the main selling points for me, at 6'2 tall, was the 90 length. While my feet brush the end of this one and I still wish it were longer, at least it's not jammed like many others. The other clinchers were the light weight, and the quality of BA's stitching. So many other tents out there are sewn like all the other cheap junk coming out of Asia. While this home is constructed there too, at least BA applies higher stitch-counts with high-quality. Lastly, I really enjoy the layer of nylon fabric between the floor and the mesh-netting; it adds a little privacy and blocks other peoples lights from glaring straight into your eyes while your lying in it at night (if you don't have the fly on). I wish BA would do the same on the doors of the Fly Creek series. At first I was hesitant because the the door design lowering to the bottom, rather than the D-doors. After using it I actually don't mind the door, I just try to keep it 'in' the tent when it's down, and I like how wide it is. The only things I would improve is to have the door zipper sewn and taped, like Mtn. Hdwr. used to do, rather than the now standard felled double row of stitching. The taped way makes the doors much easier to glide open and close, and helps the zipper last longer. Also, despite my comments above, some of the stitching on the fly is a little sloppy in places, but no leaks so far.
