Black Diamond has now successfully built their lifesaving Avalung into their full line of backcountry skiing backpacks. The Black Diamond Bandit Avalung is a small pack (690 cu in) that's made for inbounds or sidecountry sorties. It is big enough for a quick backcountry tour, but you'll have to decide between the extra layers you know you should bring and the first aid kit your wife wants you to bring in order to get everything in there. Its simple design lacks a separate toolkit sleeve, so your avie tools slip into the outside of the main clamshell pocket where all your other gear is stashed. While the Black Diamond Bandit Avalung is small, it is a comfortable and lightweight tourer and skis extremely well.- Manufacturer: Black Diamond

Great Day touring pack
Work perfect with Backcountry Access Tour Shovel System, or most other shovels. Put your hydration pack in there, you have room for skins, a layer, gogs, gloves, and what other small essentials you'll need. Simple ski carrying system seems to work nicely, don't think it would work so hot with a snowboard. So far so good, i am stoked on its performance so far
