Black Diamond proprietary Kinetic Core Construction(TM) (KC^2) maximizes comfort by layering multiple strands of Vectran(R) fiber with taffeta and lightweight foam. Spun from a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), Vectran fibers offer water-resistance, high strength-to-weight ratio and and durability even in extreme conditions. This layered construction, combined with a padded lumbar insert, provides maximum strength and comfortable, padded support for all your ice-climbing adventures. Bullhorn-shape waistbelt is ergonomically designed for all-day comfort. Pre-threaded Speed Adjust waistbelt and leg buckles allow easy adjustments to accommodate varying layers; aluminum construction provides strength without weighing you down. Droppable leg loops make layering adjustments simple, and allow easy on/off over crampons and boots. 4 pressure-molded polyethylene gear loops are reinforced with nylon webbing to provide excellent racking space with high strength. 6 Ice Clipper slots allow customized racking and organization of screws, pins and runners for multipitch climbs.
