Burton Approach Under Mitt
These were the first mittens I ever tried. Gloves could never keep my hands warm enough and these definitely did a lot better job. I like the removable liner because you can get into your pockets or whatever without your hands completely freezing. Only downside, they barely made it through my season (70-80 days though). The right palm got worked from strapping in and out of my bindings so much.My hand measures between 2.5 and 3 at the knuckle. Went with the medium because of that. Fits great
Moderately warm
I have cold hands. I always have cold hands and these were very cute, functional but didn't quite keep me warm. They have a removable fleece lining but the fleece lining is a glove. I actually am warmer when my fingers are touching each other in a mitten. The fleece glove is a nice functional addition. With the liners in it fills up the cavity of the mittens, without the liners in the mittens are large and loose you lose dexterity. Though a hand warmer would fit in there without the liners in, I will probably just go with the Burton Baker Under Mitt. I wish Backcountry sold more undermitts because with today's styles...really more people wear them under the sleeves than over. I have the 686 Ace down jacket and there is no way in hell that any gauntlet will ever fit over my sleeves so ...just sayin' keep the under mitts and under gloves in your inventory. We like options!
Great but a little big!
I love them keeps my hands warm. I ordered a medium should have bought a small. Innner lining easy to get out to put hot hands in.
