I needed a boat that would be easy to handle on the water and light enough to load by myself onto the roof of my Expedition. I am not the smallest paddler at 260 pounds, so it had to be able to handle that, too. OUTSTANDING in all of the above. I have used it on flat water (bayous/swamp/marsh) as well as in the chop on big lakes. Very stable in the chop. Very maneuverable, easy to paddle, fairly fast for a 12 foot crossover and the skeg makes a huge difference on big flat water.Roomy cockpit, but not overly so. Seat is very comfortable. I love my Axis 12.0!
