Department of Goods Description: Stop trying to track down old ski poles with K2 Extreme graphics on eBay. These popular graphics are back for another round on the K2 V8 Ski Poles. While the look may hearken back to the eighties, the technology definitely doesn't. K2 built these performance poles with a durable, lightweight composite shaft. A slim grip makes the V8 ski pole easy to hold, lessening the chances you'll drop these sticks mid-run, or worse, on the lift.

Department of Goods Description: Built by K2's Factory Team as the ultimate freeride pole, the V12 Ski Pole's low weight and bomber strength make it ideal for aggressive skiing in demanding terrain. Ten strands of carbon fiber wrap around this pole's composite shaft, combining the lightweight stiffness of carbon with durability only found before in aluminum. A thermoplastic pistol-shifter grip gives secure hold when you're hauling ass, and the chrome accents show up nicely in cover shots.

Backcountry Description: K2 Factory Team built the V12 Ski Pole to give you the ultimate in freeriding technology. This lightweight pole gives you the crazy strength you need for aggressive riding and demanding terrain thanks to strands of carbon fiber and a composite shaft, and the thermoplastic pistol-grip gives you a secure grip when you're screaming like a banshee. The V12 is go-to pole of skiing icon Seth Morrison.

Product reviews from Department of Goods:

Lightweight but not sturdy at all |
I've used these poles about 5 times already this year and they are very flimsy and not sturdy at all. Sure, they are pretty lightweight but I wouldn't be surprised if I snapped them while skiing tomorrow. Even if you gave them to me for free, I sure as hell wouldn't use them. Save your money and buy something else instead.

Product reviews from Department of Goods:

Great Ski Pole |
The K2 V12 pole is one of the better ski poles I have used in a while. It is light weight, durable, and thin but at the same time strong. It has a great grip which adds extra support. As mentioned in the Tech Specs it comes with two different pole baskets, one for hard snow conditions and one for soft, which is very useful. To top it off, the K2 V12 has a very sleek design and graphics. This pole is a great all mountain ski for the resorts or the big mountains.

Product reviews from Backcountry:

|
I am a big fan of these since they are a bit flexy, Nothing you will notice while pole planting, more for a crashing situation. I have had lighter stiffer carbon poles, but found on a fall or getting the pole jammed in between logs or rocks the lighter stiffer poles shatter. Having a flex gives this pole durability and longevity. Part of the freeride line these poles fit the mold with chrome handles with a rubber grip inlay, pyramid studs on leather part of the nylon straps for a bit of style. Easy to change baskets from hard snow to powder as your season changes. Poles are poles, but you get what you pay for.
