My third pair of Newport H2's |
Obviously, I love the Newport H2 sandals. I bought this third pair (Slate black/Canton) because I had a 15-hour charity walk coming up and felt the other two pair (plus an older pair of Venice H2s) didn't have as much cushion in the footbed as I wanted anymore. (and there was this awesome new color! LOL)I'm used to Newports requiring zero break in time, but this pair had an area up in the toe box that rubbed a lot. I'm getting used to it now. They just weren't constructed as well as they used to be. The double layering seemed to overlap a little sloppy. Overall, these are the same great sandals I love. I live in Keen year round and don't wear anything else. I wear hikers and shoes from Keen in the winter here in Wisconsin and sandals all summer. Our backpacking and hiking trips to New Mexico find me in Newports and Venice sandals. I order a half size up for most of their styles for the best fit.
