Product Descriptions
REI Description: With even more coverage, these Native Eyewear Hardtop XP polarized sunglasses have 2 pairs of lenses that are 20% larger than the regular Hardtop sunglasses for more protection! A unique interchangeable lens system lets you switch lenses without having to put your fingers all over them. Polarized Crystal Carbonate(R) lenses have the strongest hard coating available to protect against scratching. Rhyno-Tuff(R) AIR frames endure extreme highs and lows in temperature. Cam-action spring hinges allow the temples to quickly lock into position. P.C.C.(R) lenses pass the rigorous ANSI Z80.3 tests for optical clarity and impact resistance while blocking 100% of harmful UVA and UVB light. Self-adjusting Cushinol(TM) nosepads and ear stems create a nonslip grip that keeps sunglasses in place, ensuring a soft feel and personalized fit. Venting system incorporated into the frames enhances airflow and virtually eliminates fog and condensation. Each frame includes one set of polarized lens (tint depends on frame color) and one set of SportFlex(TM) lenses, for a total of two sets of lenses. Additional SportFlex orange-yellow lenses have a blue mirror coating suitable for a range of low-light conditions from cloudy, overcast, dusk and dawn. These sunglasses are designed to fit medium to large profiles. XP refers to Xtra Protection--lenses are approximately 20% larger for more coverage and protection. Also included is an Optic Gear Kit that features a semi-rigid zippered case and a soft pouch that doubles as a cleaning cloth.

Eastern Mountain Sports Description: When light conditions change, Native Eyewear's Hardtop XP sunglasses can make the switch from polarized lenses for bright sunlight to nonpolarized lenses for low-light conditions. Best fit for large to extra-large profiles with a 20% larger XP (extra protection) lens size. Optical quality, impact-resistant lenses block 100% UVA/UVB rays. Charcoal frame: Gray lenses suitable for bright sunlight with 12% VLT (Visible Light Transmittance). Includes one set of interchangeable SportFlex lenses for low-light conditions with 60% VLT2ideal for cloudy, overcast conditions, dusk and dawn. Polarized lenses eliminate glare from surfaces including water, sand, pavement, ice and snow for sharp, crisp, glare-free vision with increased contrast. Rhyno-Tuff thermoplastic air frames are lightweight and durable enough to withstand high velocity collisions and temperature extremes. Venting system enhances airflow to eliminate fog and condensation. Cushinol nose pads ensure a soft feel. Cam Action hinges quickly lock into place so you're ready for action. Mastoid Temple Grip for a secure and comfortable grip behind the ears. Anti-Ocular Intrusion System to prevent the lenses from dangerously shooting toward your eyes in the event of a high-velocity impact. Includes semi-rigid zippered case and soft pouch.

Backcountry Description: Interchangeable lenses and temples make the Native Eyewear Hardtop XP Polarized Sunglasses ideal for any outdoor activity in any lighting conditions. Hardtop XP sunglasses come with polarized lenses to reduce glare and provide eye protection in low-light conditions like trail runs at dusk. Extra-wide protective lenses make the Hardtop XP Polarized Sunglasses an excellent choice for high-impact outdoor sports.

Lifetime warranty on the lens sold me

Low light lenses are great for trail running and PM skiing, I like the wrap-around strap temples for road races. I've found that the lenses scratch easily, but for 30 bucks I can send in scratched lenses and get new ones under the warranty. That's better than a new pair of 30 dollar shades any day! minus the initial investment of course...

super-light, super-tough

Can't believe how high quality and durable both the lenses and frames are considering their (feather) weight. Never fog because of vented top. Easy to switch lenses but they never pop out on their own, nomatter what. I wear them for all sorts of sports and they've survived all sorts of collisions, crashes, even a snatch and run by our 90-pound Labrador. I've broken my nose a few times (baseball to the face once, other times, don't ask) so I can't tolerate heavy frames or lenses. The Natives, I barely notice they're on. As somebody said below, Native is a great company to deal with too if anything does go wrong. For my money, these are light years better than the more expensive boutique brands--give 'em a try, you won't regret it. They are unbeatable.
