Quality and Condition Concerns
Very comfortable, however I did have two problems that lead me to return these.1 - The loop (see pic) that you pull on to lift the pocket for the laces ripped after only 6 hours. The rest of the boot appears to be of quality, but this is not a good sign after only 3 times off and on.2 - The rubber that they used for the tread does not bode well on wet surfaces. I went on a 12 mile hike the day after I bought them and I slid on any wooden bridges that we crossed. I had the same problem at a restaurant where the boots themselves were wet and I slid on the granite floor. Great on dirt, but if you get too close to that waterfall it may be the last one you see.For comfort I can see why Backpacker gave it such a rave review, this is a great lightweight option for a person with difficult feet (like me). The quality defect and traction are not worth the benefits though. Again very comfortable, but I am concerned about function. Hopefully their next design will address these issues.
