Excellent Rain Jacket
This jacket was perfect for my trip to Kodiak Island. It rains 24/7 there and I was thankful to have this jacket. It kept me dry and warm.
Not too bad
I haven't had a chance to try this in the rain yet, so this review is based on sizing and fit. I ordered a small and an x-small in the blush color to compare. I am 5'4, 105 lbs, so I often wear x-smalls, but it's hard for me to find good coats because I have long arms and the sleeves are almost always too short on me. Well, the small fits great in the arms but is a little loose on me. The x-small is a more flattering cut on me, but as always, the sleeves are too short and the fit is really tight in the shoulders as well. I was able to fit a light fleece under the x-small, but I am opting for the small because I don't like the short sleeves and tight shoulder feel. The material is kind of waxy and a little noisy, but I guess one expects that with a rain shell. It is not lined. The hood isn't the best. There isn't much of a bill, so I'm expecting my face to get wet first time I use it. I tried the hood with my hair in a ponytail, and the hood didn't stay up very well. There is a chest pocket that my phone fits in well, but the jacket material is so light that it sagged to one side with even the weight of my phone in that pocket. The blush color is beautiful, probably my favorite thing about the coat so far! Oh, and it comes with a cool little stuff sack in the same color. I got this to have for hiking for those unexpected rain showers. I guess it will do the job, but I do wish the hood covered my head better, especially since I usually wear my hair in a ponytail while hiking.
