Nice Helmet

The Maze is a nice helmet, it is comfortable and there is definitely plenty of warmth without a hat. The venting isn't the best, but not a huge issue. The helmet is very light and Oakley Goggles fit it nicely

Cool addition to my helmet collection.

Definitely the lightest helmet I have. I used to rock the Variant Brim until the Vantage hit the streets. And then it was all Vantage which I absolutely love due to the weight (or lack thereof), incredible venting, and awesome fit. I wanted to try this one out plus I really like the Cyan Stereo Maze over the Vantage Cyan Team design and I'm glad I bought this. The rear vents are utilized by merely folding a padding flap back down over itself. Simple enough, and since I stay pretty warm all the time, this thing will stay folded the whole time. There is plenty of plush padding in the dome and the fit is pretty descent. I do wish it had the extra helmet adjuster like the Vantage and Variant, but I'll do fine without it. So now I'll be using this one on days that I'm mainly not doing a bunch of inbounds/sidecountry hiking, and reserve the Vantage for more aggressive hiking and the warmer days.

I have never had a helmet before and one of the last hold outs so this helmet is perfect!!lightweight, no bobble head look and the helmet fit perfect (I wear a medium). I wore this in 3 days of heavy snowfall at Mammoth Mtn,CA last weekend and most of the time did not even notice I had a helmet on. If you were a hold out on getting a helmet... then this one will make you change your mind.

Get one, protect your head

I quit wearing my last helmet because it was so uncomfortable and heavy. I decided that I would get this one because it is 11oz or something. Well, I couldn't be happier. I wear it every day I ride now and don't even notice it. Great helmet. Note that I was a little bummed by the actual color of the Gunmetal Once Percenter, it is more like a carpaint silver than the black that it looks like in the picture. I would have gotten a different color if I had known, but I just threw a bunch of goat stickers on it and now it looks sick.

New Favorite

As a Smith Athlete, I've tried most of their helmets over the last few years, and this one is definitely my favorite. Its the lightest helmet I've ever worn - I love being protected but not feeling like I'm inside an armored vehicle. Also, since I'm weight conscious when choosing what I bring on hikes and ski tours, I am really stoked to have this helmet available. Hardly even notice its attached to my pack.
