This Tee Rocks! |
Merino wool! What an amazing material. Warm to the skin in cool weather and cool in warmer climes. This is not my first Merino wool shirt and it won't be my last. I'm 5'9'' 155lbs w 40 chest and the medium fits perfectly. I've washed it 3 times now, warm wash and straight into the dryer with all my other stuff, I take it out ~10 minutes before my jeans and other cotton stuff and it seems to do OK. If it shrinks, it's minimal. The chain link sewn onto the left sleeve looks really cool...

Warm but... |
This garment achieved my major goal--warmth and lightness. Two concerns: the neck is a little tight and the label at the bottom with the neat map of New Zealand sheep farms is a little scratchy when next to the skin. On the neck dimensions: I often wear an XL but I bought an L. The entire torso is totally comfortable; it's just the neck that kinda pushes into my flesh. Another little point: I was looking for a garment similar to a tee shirt I bought 40 years ago when I lived in Manchester, England. This was a waffle weave, lanolin laden wool job that was not at all itchy. I wore that sucker out over the years. The Huckaby is not that garment, but it's certainly nicer looking and gets the joh done almost as well. I do still miss that lanolin massage.
