Backcountry Description: The North Face Inferno Sleeping Bag uses high-loft 800-fill down insulation and anti-compression pads in the bottom to keep the insulation from becoming useless. Unlike other sleeping bags where anything you lay on top of becomes compressed, this sleeping bag ensures you get the full advantage of every single downy cluster. Baffled construction eliminates cold spots, and The North Face added Shadowlite HyVent fabric to keep the insulation protected from condensation.
Eastern Mountain Sports Description: For expeditions where the choice of gear may be the difference between a summit success or an airlift rescue, the Inferno is the warmest down bag available from The North Face. Subzero thermal expedition bag will let you travel to the edge of human tolerance (-40?F). 800+ Eastern European goose down fill makes this the warmest down bag available from The North Face. Climashield Prism continuous-filament anticompression pads create a buffer between you and the ground. Trapezoidal-baffle construction with improved side box baffles traps in heat and prevents cold spots. Durable, light, waterproof Shadowlite HyVent shell keeps water out while maintaining breathability. Vaulted ergonomic foot box provides sufficient space so your feet can flex and move naturally. Welded shoulder-level zip pocket for additional ease of use. Oversize down-filled ergonomic draft tube for added heat retention. Single-point hidden cord-lock adjustment. Down-fill draft collar keeps the cold air out. Zipper garage keeps cold slider off the face. Anti-snag zip reinforcement. Glow-in-the-dark zip pulls help you see what you?re doing in the middle of the night. Hang loops for drying. Nylon mesh storage sack and compression sack included.
