The clamp adjustment dial is down at roof level, since most of us aren't 8 feet tall, and the rubberized clamp will baby your bike's frame. When you reach your destination, Thule has equipped the Criterium with a single button release for the clamp, so you can hit the button, grab your bike and hit the trail. The Criterium is also high security, with a double locking system for bike and rack that uses two cylinders to give you added piece of mind when you have to leave the car.
