They Work
This simple design will allow you to make your own rack system for your bike. I bolted these directly to the panels of my Chevy Avalanche. They are super strong, hold up to weather and most importantly lock. I read the comment below about being able to remove the other side with pliers...although I have not tried it, I cannot imagine being able to remove it with ease. Let's face it, given enough time and the right tools, no lock is safe.
Great product; high shipping cost.
This product is easy to install and easy to use. I had to get an additional bike mount because my son recieved a larger bike and we had to move the original mount farther back to allow his bike to fit. My only negative comment is the shipping is half the cost of the product. I am sure there are less expensive shipping costs.
reliable!
The realcyclist.com Pro Cycling Team travels alot to attend many races all over the US. A bike mount has to be durable and, even more important, reliable. All I can tell that this Yakima Blockhead bike mount never let us down during many miles on the road. Even a dust storm in the New Mexican desert cannot beat the Yakima Locking Blockhead Bike Mount.
Product is good; but service is POOR
The product itself is fine...but when you buy it from backcountry, you must think twist and recommended to search elsewhere for same product. Because their service is terrible!!! They will buy product on behalf of you without notification. So I got two same products now!!! And then I have to return back the product in my own cost. So product i give 3-starService I give 0-star only!
