These bars are very solid, I'm sure they will last. Holds 2 highrollers nicely and could probably fit 2 smaller bike racks. Fits just a skybox 21, and fits just the FatCat 6.

66 inches worth of goods

While I could have squeezed a few more miles out of my rusted old 48 inches bars despite transferring them to three different trucks over the last 12 years, the time finally came when my gear demanded more space on top of the 02 X-terra. So I boned up for the 66inchers. Now, with careful planning, I can fit on two bikes, a wide-arce kayak, and a space box with just enough room to open the box. Saved my road trips from monotonous boredom.

These are the right fit for the 1998 Subaru Forester; any other size and I'd risk knocking myself or my passengers out! These appear to be very well made. The heavy and stout feel should equal longevity and security. The bars are also coated to keep weather from wearing away at the metal.Since the end caps aren't included with the bars (God knows why not) you also need to purchase those. They're surprisingly important to keep moisture out to keep your wonderful bars from rusting over time. I've considered putting pvc tape or Loctite on the cap inserts to assure no elements infiltrate the bars.If you're not sure if this is the size you need visit the Yakima.com website, choose the fit my car feature and search for your vehicle make and model. It will suggest exactly what's right for you. Likewise, it is also important to consider what you are planning to transport (especially if it is a boat) and make sure the width of the item will fit on these bars securely.

These installed easy and great price. I love the rack!

Doubles as ???

The crossbar works well; is plenty sturdy, doesn't make the wind-noise that my rectangular bar makes, and is a thrill for my 10 year old to grab ahold and swing into and out-of the truck. I'd say Yakima makes a better product.

Not factory bars, thank goodness

I ordered these bars for my Mazda MPV so my wife could haul her mountain bike around. We started our vacation this summer before I had a chance to install these bars. Five miles down the road the box on the factory bars started to vibrate and thump the roof of the car. Turned around and installed these bars and never had a problem since.

yakima 60 bar

This 60 bar length is excellent in carrying my 2 sea touring kayaks (17' & 16 plus, and my 2 mountain bikes with wheels forks. The Yakima racks were plenty strong at high speeds. My car, a 1995 Subaru wagon. This rack system was also perfect for my 1999 Saab 9-5 (with different clips). Bottom line, if you need interior cargo space, get yourself a pair of 60 bars. They work great.
