A quick update from a recent press release on the Suunto Elementum watch lineup:
NEW YORK, NY – July 9, 2009 – It was a star-studded affair as Suunto launched its new Elementum Collection in New York City last night. A couple hundred, including celebrity guests and national media, enjoyed the domestic unveiling of the Suunto Elementum Line.
The party was hosted by New York Knicks Chris Duhon, John Starks and Gotham Magazine. “It was great to see all the positive reaction,” said Suunto Marketing Director Nate Randle, “We spent a lot of time developing the Elementum line and to see people excited about the watches is rewarding.”
Suunto, a world leader in precision sports instruments, showed off the three new stylish timepieces designed to navigate the world and turn heads in the office boardroom. The urban-inspired collection is made exclusively in Finland and comes in three different styles, the Aqua, Terra and Ventus.
“Each timepiece reflects our deep knowledge in diving, mountaineering and sailing,” says Juha Pinomaa, President of Suunto. “This expansion derives from a unique insight into the other, more urban, part of athletes’ lives; an understanding that allows us to develop watches that are modern and stylish, yet still very functional, for all of life’s situations.”
The Suunto Elementum is will be available at Barney’s New York and Tourneau shops all across the nation later this month.
I just got word that the new Suunto Elementum Aqua watch received the highest award given by International Forum Design:
